
Lydia's House of Hope AZ (location) was founded in 2015. Our team is made up of, mental health professionals, homemakers, educators, advocates, cosmetologist, community leaders, and foster parents who collectively desire to make a difference in the lives of children & young adults.
We offer community-based services. Our team and volunteers have experience working with youth and transracial caretakers.
Our mission is to provide a structured, fun, and safe environment while giving culturally based educational experiences to youth.

The self-care program allows youth to be provided with the tools they need to maintain hair and skin care needs along with bringing in an element of independent living skills.
Rising Stars Summer Camps.
Our camps expose youth to education, cultural experiences, peer interaction, supports, arts/crafts, sports, outdoor activities, various field trips throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
The Power of My Crown Camp
Campers will embark on a Cultural Journey that includes the exploration of music, performance art, & 3D artwork with emphasis
on Natural Hair & Skin Care. In partnership with ATO, Inc.
Services for Complete Haircare.
Haircare services for (natural hair) African American/biracial youth. Services can be done in-home or at an affiliate salon location. Our professional haircare services for youth provides a selection of protectives styles.
Ongoing Education & Training
Our continuing education classes are geared towards transracial caregivers, both theory and practical classes are available. Some trainings will have a live model. We teach African American / biracial hair and skin care maintenance. We provide a certificate of completion; these hours follow the guidelines per OLR and can be used for that purpose. Classes range from 2-4 hours
